immerGO system from immersiveDSP is the perfect fit for multispeaker setup for Virtual Reality (VR) or Augmented Reality (AR) applications. Thanks to its flexible server-client configuration, immersiveDSP platforms can receive 3D coordinate (x,y,z) object audio panning from an external software/engine. In this case, we used the well known Unity Game engine to control audio in a 16 speaker environment.
As part of our continuous research, immersiveDSP put together a system including:
- immerGO system running on Apple Mac mini
- Unity 3D engine receiving object-based audio streams
- Oculus Rift development kit2 for VR experience
- Leapmotion to control real time audio tracks
